‘They’re leaving’: Observers erupt as people depart Trump’s rally while he’s still talking

As Donald Trump was still speaking during his rally on Saturday, multiple people placed directly behind the former president started heading out.

Trump was speaking to supporters in Erie, Pennsylvania, where earlier in the event he admitted that some people were “falling asleep” at one of his rallies. He further said he used curse words to keep his rally attendees awake.

The people leaving were placed right behind Trump, in a position usually reserved for only the most diehard fans at any event.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign posted a video of people standing behind Trump starting to funnel out of the event, simply writing, “They’re leaving” as the X caption.

Independent journalist Aaron Rupar posted about the development on social media, saying that “people can be seen bouncing from the rally behind Trump as he goes on and on and on and on.”

Popular liberal commentator @JoJoFromJerz wrote, “But Trump said no one leaves his rallies.”

Former prosecutor Alain Leibman said, “Crowd walking out on you.”

Author Mary Pezzulo wrote, “Comedy gold.”
