Meghan ‘My Father’ McCain Thinks Biden Is Lying About Having Covid

Everyone seems to have an opinion about President Joe Biden’s health especially after he tested positive for COVID-19. Even Meghan McCain, who claims she doesn’t “believe” Biden has the virus, which has killed more than 7,051,600 people worldwide.

I’m not sure why McCain seems to think she’s an expert on this but she said she is also looking forward to the “great book about the amount of lies that were told to the American public about President Biden’s health.” McCain is confusing me here. She’s made it known that she hates Donald Trump, but she’s undermining Biden here.

Does she want Trump to win? Almost sounds like it.

Earlier this week, Biden said the only way he would withdraw from the presidential race was if he had a “medical condition” and mere hours later came the announcement that the president tested positive for COVID and planned to cancel his Las Vegas keynote speech so that he could self-isolate, according to The Daily Beast.

Of course, as soon as she caught wind of this McCain, daughter of the late Senator John McCain, hopped on her podcast Citizen McCain where she railed against Biden’s COVID news, describing it as an “egregious” lie at a “level we’ve never seen in politics.” Then she went on to say that the announcement “might just be an excuse for him to step down gracefully.”

For crying in the beer, Biden is doing the wise thing by self-isolating. He has faced increasing criticism from fellow Democrats who want him to step down, so he might do just that. And then where will this leave us? It’s an unpleasant thought, isn’t it?

And in the episode following the presidential debate in late June, McCain compared Biden’s performance to her father’s as brain cancer destroyed his health.

“I know what cognitive decline looks like in one way or another. I think any caregiver for an aging parent knows that—and to me, I felt saddened and uncomfortable and then very scared” she said of the debate.

The former View cohost has been firing frequent salvos at the president, even though Biden shared a long friendship with her father, and the moment where he comforted her while she cried over her father’s illness on The View went quickly viral. She thanked him repeatedly for his kindness and has spent years praising his compassion, even calling him “one of the truly decent and compassionate men in all of American politics.”

Now she’s turned into a pit bull. What gives?

“We are very close to Biden stepping down,” she said on this week’s podcast. “I don’t even know if at this point I believe President Biden has COVID. I think there is a trust deficit with the American public, certainly with me and the Biden administration’s candidness and transparency regarding Biden’s health. I don’t know if I believe he actually has COVID.”

It’s pointless for her to complain about this. There are no other Democrats running right now, so we’re going to either wind up with Biden or Trump, and frankly it’s sounding like she wants Trump in office. Is McCain becoming a parody of herself? This is nuts. She touched on a couple of other topics — slamming Trump’s vice presidential pick JD Vance as too “inexperienced,” and describing the latest RNC as “the funeral” of “traditional conservatism.” She’s not wrong there; the whole thing sounded pretty nuts. But then she made her way back to Biden

“I think the reason why President Biden and his team are in the predicament that they are in is because they lied egregiously at a level of maleficence we’ve never seen,” she concluded.

Biden is only now doing things that Trump has been doing for years. It would be nice if McCain would focus on this. Perhaps she’s not astute enough to realize that we are dangerously close to another Trump presidency. And she’s helping this along by kicking Biden when he’s down.

When she should be supporting him. Shameful.

And in the event you didn’t under the headline, and us calling McCain “My Father”, this is why:
