Graham Goes Into Frenzied Meltdown During Live Interview When Asked About Trump’s ‘Fascist’ Rhetoric
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) had a dramatic meltdown on NBC’s “Meet the Press” when confronted with retired Army Gen. Mark Milley’s claim that Donald Trump is “fascist to the core.” This assertion, highlighted in Bob Woodward’s new book, “War,” triggered an explosive response from Graham, who has been a steadfast supporter of the former president.
During the tense interview, Graham vehemently dismissed Milley’s characterization, insisting, “I think he’s wrong” or “I think they’re wrong” at least eight times in rapid succession. His repeated declarations overshadowed host Kristen Welker’s efforts to ask follow-up questions, showcasing his mounting frustration.
Graham’s ire didn’t stop there; he also criticized Republicans contemplating support for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.
“What the hell are you doing?” he exclaimed. “I can’t take four more years of this crap,” Graham added, expressing his exasperation with perceived disloyalty within the party.
“What the hell are you doing as a Republican blessing this stuff?” he asked.
Critics quickly reminded him of his own harsh criticisms of Trump back in 2016, when Graham labeled him a “race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot.” This stark contrast illustrates Graham’s transformation from a vocal opponent to one of Trump’s most fervent advocates.
