‘I absolutely hate’ them: Trump aims tirade at media over coverage of X livestream

Donald Trump threw a social media tirade Tuesday because the media did not seem significantly impressed with the amount of clicks he gets.

Trump, who has become increasingly outraged that Vice President Kamala Harris is drawing tens of thousands of spectators to political rallies, complained on Truth Social he wasn’t getting the credit he deserved for a glitchy X livestream with Elon Musk.

“I spent 2 1/2 hours last night talking to Elon, a fantastic guy, getting all-time record Views/hits,” Trump wrote, “and all the Fake News wants to report is that the servers crashed (because of the tremendous volume!), and the show opened a little late.”

Technical difficulties delayed the conversation between the two billionaire social media moguls for more than 40 minutes, reports show.

This did not stop Trump from issuing a correction for journalists who reported he vowed to flee to Venezuela, prompting fears that the convicted felon might be a flight risk, and calling the world’s richest man “the greatest cutter” for firing thousands of people. He was promptly threatened with a worker intimidation complaint from the United Auto Workers union.

“What they should be reporting was the incredible number of people that were listening,” Trump wrote. “I absolutely HATE the Fake News Media. So bad for our Country!”

In a separate post, Trump also complained about a recent New York Times/Siena Poll that found a swing state surging for Harris. He said it had unfairly ignored his base.

“The NYT/Siena Poll has way over sampled Democrat voters, and way under sampled people who voted for me in 2020,” Trump argued without evidence.

“The Fake News York Times insisted they do this so that it would look as bad as possible in comparison to their last poll, which was very good for me, way up, and made the very biased Times look ‘stupid,’ just like in 2016.”
