Pete Souza, the official White House photographer during the Obama presidency, has apparently deleted his account from X, formerly Twitter. This follows a tweet he posted casting doubt on the official story behind the “shooting” of former President Trump.

Souza’s book, Obama: An Intimate Portrait, was an NYT number one best-seller and has a 4.9 out of 5-star rating on Amazon, with nearly 10,500 reviews.

There are few who see the world like someone who does it through the lens of a camera, and Pete Souza is as eagle-eyed as Ansel Adams or Annie Leibovitz. So when Pete saw a photograph from the Associated Press of Trump getting on a plane — with a great view of the ear that bled during the shooting a couple of weeks ago — he noticed something that seemed off.

There is no visible redness or scarring, certainly nothing that would indicate the ear had been hit with a bullet, let alone one from an AR-15, the weapon used by the shooter.

A friend joked on Facebook the other day (before the giant bandage came off) that it was clear Trump hadn’t had part of his ear shot off, or it would be up for auction already.

Given Trump’s penchant for turning awful things about himself into fodder for his supporters to give him even more money — think mugshot mugs — I’d say that’s not far off the mark, so to speak.

The latest picture was taken yesterday morning. The shooting occurred on July 13th. The incident wounded Trump (in some way; we all saw the blood), injured two of his supporters, and left a third supporter dead.

PEte posted the picture, along with a caption that read, “AP photo this morning. Look closely at his ear that was ‘hit’ by a bullet from a AR-15 assault rifle.”

That feeds in to the “conspiracy theories” that have been floating around about this possibly being a false affair, where one man ended up losing his life.

And let’s face it: There’s just too much evidence against Trump having actually even been grazed by a bullet for there not to be questions.

First, the shooter was a registered Republican, a seemingly inept 20-year-old who couldn’t even get on the junior varsity shooting team at his high school. Somehow, this young man was able to get access to all kinds of high-tech equipment for surveillance, including a drone and the high-powered rifle, and remain unseen by anyone except the dozens of people who took pictures of him before the shooting even took place.

But why didn’t Trump require any stitches? The part of his ear that was “shot” sits closer to his skull than the margin of error for a bullet from that kind of gun.

Hell, he got up and fist-pumped and hyped up the crowd, even taking time to tell the Secret Service to let him get his shoes.

That’s not what happens when you get shot or even grazed. Trump is nearly 80 years old. If this were anything more serious than a shaving cut, he’d have had to be carried out of the event.

He would have been in shock.

Instead, what you see on social media now is a lot of Trump supporters who have changed their profile pictures to the image of the convicted felon with his fist raised in the air as he’s rushed offstage.

Not to stoke the conspiracy any further, but one has to wonder if Pete deleted his own account, or if it was conveniently removed on his behalf by the owner of X, Elon Musk — a staunch Trump supporter.
