Billionaire Elon Musk has made explosive accusations against the mainstream media, alleging that they are “actively encouraging” violence against him and former President Donald Trump due to his political affiliations.

Musk, who has increasingly thrown his weight behind Trump’s campaign, recently announced a plan to award $1 million daily to registered voters supporting a pro-Trump PAC. His remarks came during a campaign event in Pennsylvania on Sunday, where he presented a $1 million check to a randomly selected attendee.

During the town hall, Musk expressed concerns about his safety, stating, “So, dramatically increasing my risk of being assassinated and engaging in politics are not what I want to do. I do not have a death wish, but the stakes are so high that I really feel I have no choice but to do it, and that’s that’s the reason.”

Following the event, Musk took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a controversial image from German magazine Der Spiegel, which portrayed him alongside Trump under the headline labeling him “public enemy number two.” The article accused Musk of attempting to undermine liberal democracy.
